Robert’s interests are in political ecology, disasters, hazards, and the critical geographies of citizenship and the state, especially in Brazil. His PhD thesis, completed in 2016 at King’s Brazil Institute, King’s College London, is entitled “The Ecology of Citizenship: understanding vulnerability in urban Brazil”.
